In the first quarter of 2024, Costa Rica's food delivery app market saw notable activity, with the top 5 apps showing distinct trends in downloads and active users, as reported by Sensor Tower.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery experienced a slight decline in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 1.6K in early January and dipping to around 1.3K by mid-March. Active users, however, showed a positive trend, increasing from about 13.8K at the beginning of the quarter to nearly 15.7K by the end.

PedidosYa - Delivery App maintained a steady pace in weekly downloads, with a slight increase from around 1.3K in January to approximately 1.4K in late March. The app's active user base also grew, starting at about 39K and peaking at over 41.5K in mid-March.

DiDi Food - Food Delivery saw a fluctuating download trend, beginning the quarter with about 1K downloads, dipping to around 900 downloads mid-quarter, and rising again to over 1K by the end of March. Active users exhibited a stable trend, hovering around 15K throughout the quarter.

Rappi: Market and Food Online had a more volatile download pattern, starting at around 400 downloads per week in January, peaking at nearly 500 downloads in late January, and then stabilizing around 400 downloads by the end of March.
